By the end of the story the mother is almost sad that it is all over, but realizes her daughter will forever spark that little bit of spirit her daughter cheered about everyday through her highschool years. The sport after all taught her daughter discipline, manners, exercise, and about life wins and loses. The mother had no reason to dislike cheerleading any longer and she missed it after it was all over.
