Why the Drinking Age Should Not Be Lowered In our society today, we are experiencing a growing problem with alcohol. The sales of alcohol, alcoholism, driving under the influence and drinking during pregnancy are just a few of the problems we've been experiencing. We should build more programs to build the self-esteem of our nation's youth and teach them how to spend their time and money wisely, instead of using it to buy alcohol and "get wasted". We need to get to the bottom of the problem and find out how to deal with it, instead of giving young adults a privilege that they do not deserve and clearly can not handle.
