For centuries American Indians have fought heroically beside the United States, and generously donated their money to help when they could not fight. "No group that participated in World War II made a greater per capita contribution, and no group was changed more by the war" (Morgan 1). Although it was years before the American Indians received the recognition they deserved, their contributions to World War II will never be forgotten.
