The theme of defiance.

The theme that I choose to explore and relate to from Scarlet letter is Defiance. I feel that this is a principle theme throughout this novel. …by harsh tactics and I just think that I was smart enough that I didn't want to deal with the consequences and so I played ball. I do not see defiance as a necessarily negative trait, but I think that defiance should be exercised for the right reasons. Sometimes people get so caught up in being defiant that they push away the evry tools they need to help them and end up in deep trouble.
