After reading the novel, I have personally come away with the realisation that Ned and his family were victims of circumstances, generated from the corrupt police force of the day and I believe he will continue to be an Australian legend. This is truly a remarkable story of the Kelly Gang and indeed a modern classic that will go on being a classic for many more years to come.
