"The Pigman" by Paul Zindel was an interesting novel. The way he had the kids John and Loraine tell there account was unique. It resembled the privies stories we had read.
The way he made the Pigman look was one of loneliness. I think maybe he wanted kids but never had the chance to discuss the issue. You can tell he and his wife were very close. John I see as a kind of kid

foreshadowing. It let you know someone was going to die. He felt comfortable at them because he was going to see someone their soon.
On a scale from 1 to 4 (4 being highest) I would rate this novel a 4. It was a very touching novel. No matter who you are you understood what was happening. It was very well presented by the author. He also paid great attention to detail. That is why I rated it a 4.
