…amongst us today, we would hope his views on race would differ from his original uneducated conclusions that: I am apt to suspect the Negroes and in general all other species of men (for there are four or five different kinds) to be naturally inferior to the whites. Perhaps with the discussion of these issues on a grand scale, we can hope to attain a color-blindness which is pure and doesn't practice this silent discrimination.
