Glass menagerie analysis

All stories have a protagonist in which that character is the main character of the plot. Sometimes there is more than one protagonist. This is the case for The Glass Menagerie, by Tennessee Williams, in which the plot revolves around the Wingfield family. Because Tom's storyline is one that is given the most attention and one that runs through the entirety of the play, the play is mainly about Tom. His mother and sister may be given a lot of attention, too, but Tom tells the story through his own memories and point of view.
