American society is absent of common courtesy. I will not compare modern
society to that of past periods in American history; I am only concerned in this
respect to the present. I focus in on American society due to the fact that I am an
American, and my concern at present is with common courtesy in my own
surroundings.

Some people need to relearn proper etiquette and the idea of courtesy
will develop into a more respectful definition. The idea of etiquette is not to be
associated with kind beliefs, but merely how one should conduct themselves
for proper representation and respect to ones self. Common courtesy will
continue to be uncommon as long as individuals lack the realization that
they are not alone in their surroundings.
