China has benefited immensely both economically and in terms of quality of life from globalisation, and its defining features; increase in flows of FDI and g/s and the economic integration of nations. However, the costs of China's rapid growth and development, including the damage sustained by the environment and the unequal distribution of income, must be remedied, if possible, if sustainable development and growth is to occur into the future.
